THE 204 - Acting for Media and Film 3 credit hours
Exploration into the differences and similarities in acting techniques for the media arts. Students will handle, set up, and operate camera and microphones and follow on-set etiquette. Hitting marks, understanding and differentiating shot sizes, and working within frame boundaries. Identification of various members of the film making family and use of onset terminology and positions. Present poised presence on camera and learn continuity in action and performance. Cold reading techniques and preparation for media auditions.
